John is the other founding partner of the firm. John attended UCD, received a BCL in 1971 and qualified as a solicitor in 1972. John has amassed vast experience and expertise in many areas of law and has been involved in many high-profile cases.
John represented the plaintiff in the 1999 case McHugh vs The Minister for Defence, Ireland and the Attorney General. This found that the defendant failed to recognise and treat the plaintiff's post-traumatic stress disorder
(PTSD) and is arguably the seminal decision on PTSD in this jurisdiction.
John is a CEDR Accredited Mediator and is also a member of AVMA (Action against medical action) a charitable organisation which gives assistance and help to persons who have suffered medical accidents.
